Ever since my wife and I walked into this place 5 years ago visiting our vacation home, we became family. Now we practically live there. The food is great (and hot) but the owner (PIno) his family and bar/waitress staff are the best around. They make you feel at home and take a genuine interest in how you are. Be sure to check Pino's specials before you order, they're outstanding.

The former Tavern on the Top has two personalities, which suits a place named for the owners’ two children. The mood is casual in the lounge, which has a pool table and a marble-topped bar. The dining room is more elegant, with linen tablecloths, a soft music soundtrack and a gas fireplace. Specialties include homemade crab cakes in a creme sauce, chicken Capri and weiner schnitzel. Seafood and liver are among the Early Bird items, served 4-6 p.m. Mon-Thurs. Popular with baby showerers and whitewater rafters, it’s the sort of hangout where everybody knows everybody on the mountain.

European cuisine done right!

It's a bit of a trek up the mountain, but the food, service and ambiance is well worth the trip. The European style cuisine is made from fresh ingredients, prepared in traditional style. One can easily imagine being in the heart of Germany of Austria in the intimate dining room. I recommend the Veal Marsala and the schnitzel with garlic mashed potatoes, straight from heaven. Prices are reasonable and the service is excellent. Wine list is limited, but features some reasonably-priced selections complimentary to the cuisine.

Dom-n-Ali's caters to your particular tastes. Pino (owner/chef) visits each table to say hello. If you see ingredients on the menu for something you like, he will make it special for you. Some of my creations are now weekly specials. The atmosphere in the dining room is relaxed and quiet. The bar area is lively, with a pool table and lots of friendly folks ready to socialize. The staff is friendly, and there is absolutely great food, including some Hungarian dishes, along with a few Italian choices. There is great seafood: the crab cakes with the Dom-n-Ali's (lobster) sauce are out of this world. Check out the Super Bowl Party: for $25/person, it includes a prime rib buffet!! You can't go wrong. We return each weekend and sometimes during the week. We have tried almost everything on the menu, and it has all been delicious.
